Treverhund Lil Ms T Bear
_ 25
August, 2000 ~ 15 March 2008
_Millie came to live with us when she was only eight week old, 25 October 2000 the year we held the Olympics here in Sydney, hence her name. She fitted in straight away with Deja & Sieger and although none of these dogs were actually our breeding they were now, the Staratraxn family.
Although she loved to jump in the car and go to the shows, Millie didn’t like the show scene and it was as though she felt it some sort of punishment. Perhaps it was a legacy from her mum Inca. Not all dogs need to have official confirmation to know they are in fact Champions. Champions are born, not something to be learnt.
From the very beginning we had other plans for Millie. We had been involved with Rottweilers for five years now and decided we would like to become breeders to see if we could give something back to the breed. We spent considerable time looking for what we considered a good dam to become our foundation bitch. Millie had such beautiful confirmation and strength.
Millie didn’t let us down and we mated her to Sieger in 2002. Her first litter was born 7 November and we were now officially Staratraxn Rottweilers. She raised her eight babies giving them all the love & attention you could wish for.

A good mum she may have been, but once the pups teeth came through she decided it wasn’t all that much fun after all. The look of sheer dread on her face at feeding time said it all. As soon as they were able to take solid feeds we weaned them off her. Now she was content to do all the fun bits and raised her beautiful family, teaching them all they need to know before they left her to go and live with their forever families. All except one, that is. Ace decided he liked living with the Staratraxn Fur Kids and he needed to stay with us. We have never looked back.

We only had one more litter with Millie because although she still was a great mum for the better part, she didn’t have enough milk to feed her ten new kids no matter what we tried to do to help her. Bottle feeding, although it’s a very bonding thing is difficult when you have to go out to work five days a week. So we desexed her and she remained to simply be our Millie Mac dressed in black.
Millie may have been born a Virgo but her alter ego was definitely a Gemini. It’s not always the males in a pack that are Alpha, as was the case with our dogs. She needed to be number one amongst what was now our family of five and one by one she showed her dominance. That is, to all except Sieger, I guess because he knew he really was Alpha of the pack in our eyes so he let her think she was boss.
Now when it came to human people she was a totally different girl, she just loved to show her soft sweet nature to everyone she met. When ever we had people wanting to buy pups from us we encouraged them to come and meet our dogs. Millie was in her element now and every single person commented what a beautiful girl she was. We had to agree totally because her “other side” was just her being a dog.
Millie & Sieger were truly as close to being husband and wife as any dogs could possibly be. More often than not you would find them both sharing the one sack bed.
Later when Sieger’s health deteriorated, Millie was his constant companion. She would clean his face as if she were cleaning one of her litter pups. If animals do feel a loving bond, well those two lovebirds were the Darby and Joan of the Rottweiler world.
After we lost Sieger in June 2007, Millie never seems to be the same. Yes, she still was number one in the pack but it was as if she was simply going through the motions. Although she still looked exactly the same, you could tell she really missed her mate.
Tragically, after just a week of not being herself Mille dies peacefully in her sleep 15 March, 2008.
