_We had now
been involved with Rottweilers for almost five years and Doug had showed our two
girls. I wanted to get more involved in showing and decided that male
Rottweilers won Best of Breed, more frequently than the females. We knew it was
time to bring a male into our family.
I spoke to Lisa Wallace who was expecting her next litter in a few months.
Sieger was actually born in Queensland and we needed to wait what seemed an eternity before we could go to Wilberforce to collect him. When Lisa opened the gate to the compound, this little black and tan bundle came running up to me. Thank God it was our puppy, because I knew at that moment we were meant to spend out lives together.

was our world. He was a Show Dog in every sense of the word. Although I
originally got Sieger to show myself, it wasn’t long before he was being
handled by others that were far better suited to run him. He deserved the best.
During his illustrious show career, he achieved many awards both at Specialty and All Breed Shows. He was well and truly on his path to achieving his Grand Champion title when he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. Overnight his show career ended. We wanted him more than any title or show achievement.

_We were able
to give him the best quality of life for over six years. Sadly on February 3
2007, I found a rather large lump on his right hip. It was cancer.
We were able to spoil him rotten for another four months. Then we knew we needed to consider him and his well being, not just ourselves. On Friday 29 June, I took him for his usual walk, brushed him and washed his face. He always hated having his face washed.
Although it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I hugged him ever so tightly as he slipped away. Now he runs free with his sister Jedda and playmate Déjà Vu, and waits for the day when we are united again, forever.
